Followly is a Chrome extension for Gmail. This Privacy Policy explains what data Followly collects, how it is used, and how you can control it.
1. What Followly collects
When you use the Followly Chrome extension, it may collect:
- Your Google account email address — to identify your account and associate your Followly actions with it.
- Conversation data from Gmail — such as whether a reply has arrived and when a Followly action is due — used to show Followly status inside your inbox.
- The Followly actions you create — including follow-up schedules and return dates — stored so they remain active when you reopen Gmail.
- Compose window information — only when you use Send + Track or Schedule + Track, to enable follow-up tracking on outgoing messages.
Followly does not read or store the full content of your emails.
2. Gmail permissions
Followly requests Gmail permissions to provide its features. Here is what each permission is used for:
- Inbox and conversation access — to identify conversations in Gmail, detect when a reply has arrived, and show the status of actions you are tracking.
- Compose and sending features — used only when you choose Send + Track or Schedule + Track from the Gmail compose window.
- Inbox management — to return conversations to your inbox when requested, as part of Followly's Return features.
- Account identity — to identify your account so Followly can associate your actions and settings with you.
3. How Followly uses this data
- To show follow-up status badges inside Gmail.
- To detect when a reply arrives and clear the follow-up automatically.
- To execute Return to Inbox actions at the time you scheduled.
- To persist your Followly actions and settings across sessions.
- To enforce plan limits (Free: 5 active Followly actions).
Followly does not sell your data.
Followly does not use your inbox content for advertising.
Followly does not use your data to train AI models.
Followly only uses Gmail access to provide the features you requested.
4. Data storage
Followly stores the actions and settings you create using Google infrastructure (Firebase). Your data is associated with your account and is not shared with other users.
5. Data sharing
Followly does not sell your personal information to third parties.
Followly uses Google infrastructure to store and manage your Followly data. No other third parties receive your Gmail data.
